At Hockey Nova Scotia, safety is our number one priority. We ensure that the game is organized and played in the safest manner possible. Our policies require that coaches complete a Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry check. Players are protected by major liability, medical and dental policies. Abuse and harassment guidelines are also in place for all to respect and follow.

The Hockey Canada Speak Out! Program provides training, educational programs and awareness of abuse and harassment for coaches, managers, safety people, parents, players and administrators.
