2013 Bantam Memorial Schedules / Results / Pictures

The 2013 Pictou County Bantam Memorial Tournament was held over the weekend at the Pictou County Wellness Center & The New Glasgow Stadium. Twelve Major Bantam teams and ten Bantam AA teams from across Nova Scotia took part in the event, held each year in memory of 3 players and a parent killed in a tragic highway accident while returning from a tournament in New Brunswick, in February of 1984.
 
The Breton Sport Cougars defeated the Mobil 1 Barons 4-0 to take the Major Division Banner and the Scotsburn Dairy Championship Trophy.
 
In The Bantam AA Division the Sackville Flyers defeated the defending AA Champion Glace Bay Miners 7-1 to capture the AA Banner and the Scotsburn Dairy Championship Trophy.

Tournament individual awards were presented as follows:

                Forward        Cody Burghardt, Kings Mutual

The Tournament top individual awards, in Memory of Shawn & Lee Marie McKay, Donald Gladwin & John MacDonald were presented to: 
    The McKay Trophy, Top Defence            Nick Ormon, Bubba Rays
    The Gladwin Trophy, Top Goaltender        Reilly Pickard, Accel Hawks
    The MacDonald Trophy, Top Scorer            Keith Getson, Western
    Tournament MVP                                        Derek Gentile, Breton Cougars
 
In the Bantam AA Division individual awards were presented to:
