PCMHA SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Reminder to all of the PCMHA Social Media Policy - please see www.pcmha.com click on Administration, then the FORMS tab to access the document.

PCMHA recognizes and appreciates the value of social media and also respects the right of all to express their views publicly. At the same time, we must be aware of the disadvantages social media can present. PCMHA wants to ensure all PCMHA members are aware that conduct deemed to be inappropriate may be subject to disciplinary action.

Comments or remarks of an inappropriate, negative, false, or derogatory nature to an individual, team/league member, bench staff, program coordinator, player, etc. will not be tolerated, and are subject to disciplinary action.

Social Media comments are on the record and instantly published to the public. Everyone should conduct themselves in an appropriate and professional manner at all times, in all aspects.

PCMHA and Hockey Nova Scotia have a protocol for reporting issues and complaints. The steps are outlined on our website and that of HNS. Anyone with complaints or concerned are asked to follow this protocol in order to determine a resolution. Using Social Media is not the appropriate venue for problem solving, and often results in hurt, disrespect, and generally encourages negativity.

PCMHA supports all our members, and we pride ourselves in making fair decisions, often in the light of difficult circumstances.

Thank you to all our tireless and supportive parents, coaches, players, and volunteers - Goldenhawks, Miners, Maripacs, Crushers, Steelers, Bombers, and Royals!!
