Week Recap - December 21st
2014-12-21The Subway Selects Atom A team hosted the Subway Selects PeeWee A team in an exhibition game Wednesday evening. In a highly entertaining end to end game the PeeWee A team squeaked out a 4-3 win. Scoring for the PeeWee A team was Burke (2), Shipley and L. Coolen. The lone assist on the night went to Crawford.
The Subway Selects were back in league action on Saturday morning as they hosted the Colchester Cyclones. After a scoreless first period the Selects would find the net three times to take a 3-0 lead into the third period. The Selects would add one more to win the game by a score of 4-0. O'Donnell earning the shutout in nets. Scoring for the Selects were L. Coolen (2), Crawford and Vint. Assists went to Foley and Wilson.
In Sunday morning action the Selects traveled to Antigonish to visit the Bulldogs. The Selects would score twice in the first frame and take a 2-0 lead into the second period. They would go onto score two more in the second with the Bulldogs replying once to take a 4-1 lead into the third period. The Selects would score one more unanswered goal to win the game by a score of 5-1. Scoring for the Selects was Burke (2), Thompson, MacKeil and Shipley. Assists went to Vint, Craig and Long.
The Selects will now enjoy a holiday break before they return to action in the Subway Cup on January 2nd and 3rd. Happy Holidays from the Subway Selects.
