Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers Go 0-2-1 at Atlantic AA Classic Tournament in Antigonish

The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers played in the Atlantic AA Classic tournament this past weekend in Antigonish. Game 1 went on Friday night at the Millenium Centre vs the Sydney Steelers. The Crushers tied 1-1.  The Crushers goal was scored by Spencer Creed, assisted by Zach Houston. Player of the Game for the Crushers went to goalie Ryan Royles. Game 2 went on Saturday morning vs the Bedford Blues. The Crushers scored in the first minute of the game with a slick shot by Nick Dykstra, assisted by Liam Fraser and Kyle Walsh. The Crushers were tied with the Blues until late into the third period.  With 50 seconds left in the game, the Blues were able to take advantage of a Crushers defensive breakdown, scoring the game winner to win 2-1. Braydon MacDonald got Player of the Game for the Crushers. Game 3 went Saturday afteroon vs the Glace Bay Miners. The Crushers fell behind 2-0 early in the game, and were not able to get anything going. The Crushers fell to the Miners 2-0. Player of the Game for the Crushers went to Nick Dykstra. The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers play 3 home games this weekend at the Pictou County Welleness Centre. The Crushers welcome the Truro Bearcats on Friday night at 7:30pm. On Saturday, the Crushers host the Cumberland Ramblers at 1:00pm, and Sunday they host the Acadia Axemen at 2:15pm.
