2014-11-30Selects go 2-2 in the Source For Sports PeeWee A Tournament in Summerside, PEI. In the first game the Selects faced the North River Flames Red team. The Flames would open the scoring in the first period. It took the Selects until the second to get on the board with an unassisted goal from L. Coolen. Burke would score the eventual game winner assisted by Hayman.
In the Selects' second game they would lose by a score of 6-0 to the East Prince Wildcats (tournament host).
The Selects faced the North River Flames White team in their third and final game of the round robin and earned their second win of the tournament by a score of 1-0. Burke getting her second game winner of the tournament assisted by Crawford.
The Selects finished round robin play with a record of 2-1 and third place finish. They would go on to play the Northumberland Bruins in the semi-finals but lose 2-0. The Northumberland Bruins would go on to win the tournament with a 4-0 win over the East Prince Wildcats.
Player of the game awards went to Kenzie O'Donnell and Kaleigh Foley. Burke was named a tournament all-star and was awarded the Sportsmanship Tournament Award.
