Selects Split Weekend Games
2014-11-16Selects 1-1 On The Weekend
The Selects lose at home on Saturday and win on the road Sunday.
In the first game the Selects hosted the Antigonish Bulldogs. The Selects has trouble finding their legs in the early going and surrendered 3 unanswered goals to the Bulldogs. The Selects didn't find the board until late in the third from a marker by MacLean assisted by Crawford. The Hard Work key was awarded to MacLean and the Dedication key was awarded to MacKeil.
In the second game the Selects visited the Colchester Cyclones. Petipas opened the scoring for the Selects with the assist going to Long. The score remained that way until Burke made it 2-0 from MacLean in the second period. Burke and MacLean would strike soon after that to make it 3-0. Campbell would add an unassisted goal in the third and the Selects would go on to win the game 4-0. O'Donnell earned the shutout stopping all Cyclones shots. The Hard Work key was awarded to Shipley and the Dedication Key was earned by Long.
