Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers Split Exhibition Games with CB West Islanders

The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers played 2 exhibition games this past weekend vs the CB West Islanders, picking up a win and a loss. Game 1 went in Port Hood at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre on Saturday. The Crushers came out strong, but were unable to get anything going, losing 2-0. Nick Laffin played a very strong game in goal for the Crushers, taking the loss.
On Sunday at the PC Wellness Centre, the Crushers came ready to play, defeating CB West 4-2.  The Crushers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first two periods. CB came storming back in the third scoring two quick goals. The Crushers finished the final minute of the game on the penalty kill, playing 6 on 3 short-handed, but were able to score just before the buzzer sounded. Scoring for the Crushers were Daniel Molyneux, Kyle Walsh, Matt Martin and Matt Munroe.  Assists going to Zack Houston, Sam McDow, Luke Sheehan, Spencer Creed, and Braydon MacDonald.  Ryan Royles was solid between the pipes for the Crushers.
The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers start their regular season this coming weekend, playing home and home games vs the Antigonish Bulldogs. Times are 5pm in Antigonish on Saturday, and Sunday at 2:15pm at the PC Wellness Centre.
