Attention Female Hockey Players

The Pictou County Female Hockey Association would like to announce its plans for the upcoming season.
PCFHA plans to host seven Subway Selects teams – Novice, Atom A, Pee Wee A, Pee Wee AA, Bantam A, Bantam AA, Midget A.
The Novice team will be comprised of 17 players, taking the first 17 players who register. No tryouts will take place at this level.
The Atom team will be a competitive team playing in the North Conference.
The Pee Wee A and Bantam A teams will also play in the North Conference. The Pee Wee AA and Bantam AA teams are regionalized teams that will play in a provincial league. The AA teams will consist of players from Pictou County and Antigonish.
The Midget A team will also play in the North Conference, while the Midget AA team will be hosted by Antigonish and will play in the provincial league.
All Pictou County female players must register for tryouts (except Novice) during the Pictou County Minor Hockey Association general registration Saturday, Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. - noon and Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at the NSCC cafeteria.
Novice players must register at these times as well – the first 17 players will be accepted on the Novice team.
Players who wish to try out for the Midget AA team must register with Pictou County. These players do not need to register in Antigonish.
Players who do not register during the general registration will not be permitted to attend tryouts, and will not be placed on a team unless a spot is available.
Registration for tryouts is $60 per player (non-refundable).
Final decisions on how many teams will be formed will be based on registration numbers, so it’s important to sign up for evaluations. PCFHA encourages all Atom to Midget aged girls to attend tryouts the more players who sign up, the greater the chances are of having more teams, giving more girls the opportunity to play female hockey.
