Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers Fall Short in Weekend Games Against Acadia Axemen

The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers played a pair of games this past weekend vs the Acadia Axemen. The first game went on Saturday at Gloosecap Arena in Canning. Nick Laffin was solid between the pipes for the Crushers, but the Crushers could not get any offense going, falling 2-0 to the Axemen.  On Sunday, Game 2 went at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.  The Crushers came out with a much stronger effort at home, and had strong play by the line of Spencer Creed, Zack Houston, Braydon MacDonald, Nick Dykstra and Conner Boudreau. The Crushers had many chances, but just could not find the back of the net. Acadia ran out the clock and again defeated the Crushers 2-1. Ryan Royles played a strong game in goal for the Crushers. The lone Crushers goal was scored by Kyle Walsh, assisted by Matt Martin. The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers play three games this coming weekend.  Game 1 goes this Friday at 7:30pm vs the Antigonish Bulldogs, with Game 2 going on Saturday at 1:00pm vs the West Hants Warriors, both games being played at home at the Pictou County Wellness Centre.  Game 3 goes on Sunday at 1:30pm in Windsor at Exhibition Arena.
