Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers Get a Win and a Loss vs the Western Valley Spartans on the Weekend

The Wonder Auto Bantam AA Crushers played 2 games this past weekend at Kingston Arena vs the Western Valley Spartans. On Saturday, the Crushers ran into penalty trouble and came out on the short end, losing 4-0 to the Spartans.  Nick Laffin made 41 saves in the loss.  On Sunday, the Crushers played a much better team game, defeating the Spartans 4-3. Matt Munroe and Parker Hickey played a strong defensive game for the Crushers. Scoring for the Crushers were Nick Dykstra with 2 goals, Matt Martin and Michael MacGillivary with one goal each.  Assists going to Martin with three, Dykstra and MacGillivary with two a piece. Ryan Royles made a glove save late in the game to preserve the win for the Crushers. This weekend is Development Weekend for all teams, so there are no games scheduled.  The Bantam AA Crushers will play 2 home games the following weekend at the Pictou County Wellness Centre vs the Shelburne Flames on Saturday, November 8th at 6:15pm, then again on Sunday, November 9th at 10:45am.
